Welcome Note
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to RetroPath 2025! The 34th International Meeting on Retroviral Pathogenesis will be held in the beautiful city of Tübingen, Germany, from October 6th to 9th, 2025.
Did you know that cell nuclei and nucleic acids were first isolated from pus cells of wounded soldiers in a castle in Tübingen? An achievement that paved the way for the identification of DNA and, ultimately, retroviruses. This is not the only reason why Tübingen is the ideal place to present and discuss the latest breakthroughs in retrovirus research!
The conference continues its decades-long tradition as a premier forum for retrovirus research, offering an intimate and collegial setting. The program will feature keynote lectures from world-renowned experts and ample opportunities for personal networking, whether between sessions, at poster presentations, or during social events.
We invite abstracts on all aspects of retrovirus research, including retrovirus discovery, phylogeny and evolution, virus-host interactions, endogenous retroviruses, oncogenesis, immunity and vaccines, animal models, as well as new therapies and technologies.
We look forward to welcoming you in Tübingen!
Michael Schindler and Daniel Sauter
