Getting to Tübingen
By plane
The closest airport to Tübingen is Stuttgart Airport (STR), around 30 kilometers (19 miles) away. From the airport, you can reach Tübingen by taxi or car in 20-30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus (line 828) running between Tübingen and Stuttgart Airport; you can find its timetable here. You can also fly to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and reach Tübingen by train via Stuttgart.
By train
There are frequent connections between Stuttgart Central Station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof) and Tübingen Central Station. From Stuttgart, it takes around 45-60 minutes to reach Tübingen by train, depending on the speed of your connection.
