Description
We previously presented ZooNotify, a web-based platform providing access to zoonoses monitoring data collected along food chains in Germany. Significant developments have been made to enhance the platform's interactivity and flexibility. The available graphs are now dynamic, and filter options for data and graphs have been expanded. These improvements enable users to explore and analyze the data more efficiently. Currently, ZooNotify contains antibiotic resistance and typing data for > 60.000 representative bacterial isolates and > 800 prevalence estimates for different zoonotic agents and foodborne bacteria. The majority of the data is related to livestock and foods of animal origin. However, data is also available on feed, wild animals and plant-based foods, thereby taking a more holistic One-Health approach and including rarely available data. Moreover, data on antimicrobial use have been included.
The data on ZooNotify can be downloaded, and the graphs can be reused in presentations or reports, facilitating the dissemination of information and supporting informed decision-making. We will highlight the new features and demonstrate the potential of ZooNotify for risk assessment, research, and decision-making in the context of one health. Overall, ZooNotify has the potential to greatly facilitate research in the field of zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance, and to support the development of new strategies for preventing and controlling the spread of zoonotic diseases.
